Objective:

To learn several techniques on how to make a shower water tight without ripping out tiles, or replacing the shower pan. Most showers take about 5 hours to repair with experience. The second method of repair takes about 3 hours. You will also learn how to effectively  apply and work with silicone when applying to areas such as where the tile wall meets the bathtub. This program will not teach you how to build, tear out, or replace a shower pan. Training:

Training will take 5-6 days, approximately 30-40 hours (more if needed) at your location – The first half-day will be learning how grind into a right angle sample tile board and getting a feel for the epoxy and the grinding tools. The next part of the program will be working on your own shower, neighbor’s, friend’s or family members shower and bathtub/shower. The last 2-3 showers will be done hands on at an actual job (if possible) site. We should be able to work on between 4-5 stall showers and one bath/shower. If you have 2 paying customers lined up, this will help pay for part your training.

1. You will learn how to diagnose a leaking shower pan problem.
2. How to test for shower pan leaks without flooding the pan.
3. You will be taught why shower pans leak—why other types of repairs fail.
4. Why repairing is usually better than replacing the pan.
5. Misleading things the tile trade wants you to think.
6. Two different techniques/systems of repairing a leaking pan.
7. Quoting prices over the phone using specific questions—your customer becomes your eyes, ears, and hands
8. How to effectively grind into tile joints, such as where wall tile meets the floor, corners at right angles, between the tile and the bathtub.
9. Techniques for repairing, removing, and replacing loose tile
10. How to regrout ceramic tile
11. How to mix and work neatly with epoxy resin.
12. Grinding techniques
13. How to work with silicone neatly—many tricks.
14. How to use epoxy where the walls meet the tub. Permanent Tub Caulking
15. I have 20 years of repair tricks I’m willing to share.
16. I’ll supply an advertising ad that gives positive results
17. Phone support if you run into problems.

It will be encouraged that you video tape your experience, and take whatever notes are necessary. This is not a franchise, and you will be not be required to pay Leakyshower.com any fee's in the future. This is a rare opportunity to learn a unique trade that has almost no competition. You will have ongoing support for as long as you require within a years time.

Tools:

All tools will be your responsibility to purchase unless agreed otherwise. The items below are mandatory.

1. 3 gallons of specially formulated epoxy resin: 1.5 gallons fastset / 1.5  gallons of slowdry
2. Leakyshower.com regrouting bits 100 1/16", 100 3/32"(not sold in any local stores)
3. Case of empty caulking tubes
4. Certain power tools will be mandatory.
5. A list of the most common tools necessary for the trade will be provided upon deposit.

Since I will not be renting a car, you shall be responsible for getting me to and from the airport, hotel and job site.

Training Fee: $8000.00 + your tool expenses, airline travel to and from your state, along with hotel / food. Total training cost will vary depending on what tools you already own. Total estimated cost will be between $10,000-$12,000 depending upon airline cost, tools you already own , and cost of lodging and food and other misc. expenses. The TRAINING FEE IS NOT NEGOTIABLE. Training will consist of approximately 5 days, 30-40 hours or whatever it takes to accomplish the task within a reasonable work day. Training is usually scheduled to meet your needs.
